This year, on October 25th, downtown Hillsboro will transform into Central Texas’ Halloween Headquarters.  East Franklin Street in downtown annually hosts the Halloween in Hillsboro event that draws more than 6,000 visitors to trick or treat and play games with local businesses at no cost.

R&R Fitness has always led the way with the Halloween events in Hillsboro and this year is no different as they will host a haunted house rated by many to be the scariest in Central Texas.  It is located on the second story of the Business Supply Center building at 117 E Elm St.  The open lot beside the haunted house will feature inflatable rides and midway carnival games.  Tickets for the haunted house will be $10.

New this year is the “Night at the Boo-seum” hosted by the Texas Through Time museum.  This will feature a child friendly “spooky” house centered around a real, full size T-Rex skeleton and other dinosaur fossils at the museum set in a jungle themed atmosphere.  There will also be an outdoor maze for kids to enjoy.  Tickets are only $10 for Night at the Boo-seum.

Additionally, your attendance can make a real difference as we are partnering with Love’s Travel Stop to contribute a portion of the proceeds to the Children’s Miracle Network.  Come have a great time at all of these events for the whole family at Halloween in Hillsboro, only on October 25th beginning at 6pm.

If you are looking for something to do on Halloween night itself, the shops on E Elm St in downtown Hillsboro will be hosting the “Shopmare on Elm Street” on October 31st starting at 5:30pm until 7:30pm.  Businesses will have Halloween themed décor, specials, and the street will be lined with decorated cars so that the kids can enjoy a treasure trove of candy at Trunk or Treat.

When you think Halloween in Texas, think about Hillsboro first!
