Held at the romantic Rusted Chandelier event venue, Fire & Ice features a catered dinner, live music, dancing, and a complimentary tasting from TX Whiskey - all set within an elegant evening celebrating Downtown Hillsboro.

As Hillsboro Main Street's signature annual fundraiser, proceeds from Fire & Ice support priority downtown revitalization each year, from placemaking and beautification efforts to transformational projects such as "Glow Hillsboro", our downtown lighting initiative.

Held annually on the Saturday following Valentine's Day. 

Antique Alley Texas

Antique Alley Texas - Downtown Hillsboro

Part of the beloved Antique Alley Texas trail, this twice-yearly event transforms Hillsboro into a treasure hunter's paradise, drawing visitors from across the region in search of antiques, vintage finds, collectibles, and one-of-a-kind pieces.

​

Hosted in partnership by the Hillsboro Area Chamber of Commerce and Hillsboro Main Street, our historic downtown square comes alive with vendors set up alongside the Hillsboro Farmers Market, offering everything from handcrafted goods to timeless treasures.  Throughout town, garage sales, pop-up markets, and local businesses join in the fun - creating a lively, walkable shopping experience unique to Hillsboro.

Held each spring and fall as part of the larger Antique Alley Texas event.

ChurroFest

ChurroFEST is Hillsboro’s sweetest celebration of culture, community, and churros! This family-friendly festival fills our historic downtown with the lively sounds, colors, and flavors of Hispanic heritage — from children’s activities and local vendors to live music and dancing around the courthouse square. Sip your way through the Margarita Walk, sample creative entries in the Best Churro Contest, and experience a day full of flavor, fun, and connection in the heart of downtown Hillsboro!

Bond's Alley

Bond’s Alley Weekend is one of Hillsboro’s longest-standing traditions, celebrating over 60 years of art, music, and community in our historic downtown. The weekend begins Friday evening with the Community Picnic Under the Lights, where neighbors gather for a candlelit dinner beneath the swaying string lights of Bond’s Alley. On Saturday, the Bond’s Alley Arts Festival transforms the brick-lined alley into a colorful open-air gallery filled with artists, makers, food, and live entertainment. It’s a timeless summer tradition that captures the heart of Hillsboro.

Starlight Bar

Night

Inspired by the glow of fireflies and the beauty of the night sky, Starlight Bar Night invites guests to explore Downtown Hillsboro after dark through an evening of themed cocktails, music, and luminous surprises.  Participating venues create a one-of-a-kind experience celebrating bioluminescence, stargazing vibes, and the magic of Main Street at night.

Hosted by Hillsboro Main Street, this adults-only event blends nightlife, science-inspired storytelling, and downtown charm - encouraging guests to gather, glow, and experience the district in a whole new light.

Held annually during peak firefly season in Downtown Hillsboro.

AutumnFest

AutumnFest is Hillsboro’s celebration of the season — a vibrant fall festival rooted in our community’s harvest-time traditions. Stroll through historic downtown surrounded by the sights, sounds, and flavors of autumn with local vendors, handmade crafts, and live music filling the square. Join in on the sanctioned Chili Cookoff or simply savor the cooler weather. It’s our community’s festive spirit and small-town charm that make Hillsboro’s AutumnFest a cherished annual tradition.

Halloween

Downtown Hillsboro comes alive each fall with a night of family-friendly frights, festive costumes, and community fun during Halloween in Hillsboro.  From trunk-or-treating and trick-or-treating along historic streets to live music, costume contests, and seasonal activities, the evening offers something for every age.

​

At the heart of the celebration is the Main Street Haunted House - a thrilling experience for brave guests ages 15 and up.  Local businesses, volunteers, and community partners transform downtown into a lively Halloween destination filled with music, laughter, and just the right amount of spooky charm.

Christmas Under the Stars

Celebrate the magic of the season in Downtown Hillsboro during Christmas Under the Stars, an evening filled with twinkle lights, holiday music, and small-town charm.  The annual Christmas Parade winds through the historic streets before gathering at the Hill County Courthouse for the beloved tree lighting ceremony.

Presented in partnership with the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce and the Hillsboro Optimist Club, the celebration often includes carnival rides, family activities, and downtown shopping - creating a warm and welcome holiday experience for visitors of all ages.
